We're at Card #18

THE MOON

The Moon watches over the land, in three different phases. Far below, a pair of towers stand as man's protection against the hostile environment. The wolf howls below, a symbol of untamed nature, while the dog beside him represents man's ability to control what is around him. The moon will lead the traveler up the path to enlightenment, if he will only listen to his inner voice.

The Moon is intuition and imagination, but can also represent hidden messages and deception. Things are not always as they seem, so trust your instinct.

Reversed, this card reminds us that our imagination can be harnessed and tamed by the practical. Risks should be avoided, but ride out the storm and peace will be attained.

  Fear creates illusion.  When frightened we are more likely to imagine the worst.  Moonlight literally takes away all of the colour from life and leaves us only with black and white.

When we experience the fear of the Moon card we need to take courage, ignore our well-wishers and tread our own path, for only we know, in our own hearts, what is right for our highest good.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition.

The Silicon Valley Tarot (based on computers)

The Moon is renamed

Venture Capital

The hand of Venture Capital emerges from the clouds and bestows its blessings. Money falls like rain, refreshing the denizens of the under-funded startup. Are there invisible threads attached? Who can tell. Aid, assistance, nourishment, help.

Reversed: meddling, micro-management, unwelcome partnership, aversion to risk, cowardice.

Traditional "THE MOON" for Technofoggers is renamed

E-LIQUID

E-liquid is being created in a cauldron under full moon.  secret

Vapor/Fog is created by e-liquid mixture of propylene glycol, flavors, water and nicotine or no nicotine. It looks like you're smoking, but you're not. You're vaping instead.

Nicotine/non nicotine liquid, also known as e-liquid or e-juice, is a liquid mixture for the electric cigarette. Nicotine/non nicotine liquid comes in a variety of flavors and a few basic nicotine levels.

Flavors of Nicotine Liquid

From the many nicotine liquid flavors offered by different manufacturers, two seem to be more popular: tobacco and mint. These two flavors have different names and slightly different tastes depending on the brand—names like Original Tobacco, Cured Tobacco, or Arctic Mint may be names for the same flavor or variants of the flavor.

There are nicotine liquid flavors made to taste like those of traditional cigarettes, for example, Marlboro, Camel, Winston, 555, Virginia, Tobacco or Kent.

Smokers using the electric cigarette have a better choice of flavors than those who smoke traditional cigarettes. While it is rare for traditional cigarettes to have flavors of coffee, vanilla, strawberry, cherry, red bull or chocolate, most nicotine liquid and electric cigarette makers and sellers offer those flavors.

Nicotine Liquid: What Is It Made of?

All main ingredients in nicotine liquid are food products generally considered as safe. There are two common main ingredients in it—propylene glycol and nicotine. Nicotine liquid can be 80 to 90% propylene glycol and 0 to 6% nicotine. Other less common ingredients are menthol—for the mint flavor, glycerol, and even pure water that can be about 10% of the solution. Some people are allergic to PG (propylene glycol) so vegetable glycol is used instead.

Some electronic smokers make their own e-liquid at home.  moon

We're at Card #20 - The Judgement

Judgement

Judgement is about rebirth, resurrection. The idea of Judgement day is that the dead rise, their sins are forgiven, and they move onto heaven. The Judgement card is similar, it asks for the resurrection to summon the past, forgive it, and let it go. There are wounds from the past that we never let heal, sins we've committed that we refuse to forgive, bad habits we haven't the courage to lose. Judgement advises us to finally face these, recognize that the past is past, and put them to rest, absolutely and irrevocably. This is also a card of healing, quite literally from an accident or illness, as well as a card signaling great transformation, renewal, change.

Judgement is often a hard card to read; it usually signals just a big change, one that involves leaving something old completely behind and stepping into something completely new. Like closing the door on an old job, and opening the door to a new and very different career. But it's also about making a final decision, to take that plunge into the new career, to forgive your family, to leave an abusive spouse, to make a new life. To heal and renew. It's a very hard card to read, in part because it deals with very hard and final decisions. And it means facing something that most Querents don't want to face. You can't hide any longer, this card says, all the dead have risen and are out in the open. Face what you have to face; make that decision. Change.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For many, the word "judgment" evokes some very unsavory thoughts and images. It's no wonder the term makes some people cringe. For eons this term has been associated with religious misunderstanding and intolerance. Wars are waged in the name of religion, and Judgement is the battlefield.
Ironically, the reason for a religious war can be skinned down to one man's judgment against another man's religion. Further pared, it could be said that one man has judged that the other man should have his religion, not another's.
In the Christian faith, Judgment is associated with the "Judgment day." That day, according to Biblical text, in which all souls will be called and each soul is measured and marked according to virtue and obedience to God.
Other deck renditions show the angel Gabriel blowing his horn to call up the souls to their higher understanding. This is precisely the message this card bears. It is time to heed the call of resurrection. Now is the time to make a positive difference in our lives and in the lives of others.
The Judgement for Technofoggers is renamed
Electronic Cigarettes
To us, the electronic smokers, it's ...
So bright... so beautiful ... our precious.
Like the traditional Judgement we're leaving behind our old bad habit of smoking traditional cigarettes, having health problems brought on by smoking, and have moved on to something safer and better for our health ... the electronic cigarettes. But we're fighting for our right to vape. John Banzhaf/ASH, USA/State government, anti-smoker organizations, big pharma, FDA ... are playing god rather than see the truth that e-cigs are so much better for the sake of people's health.
John Banzhaf, the head of ASH (Action on Smoking and Health), is very bent on taking away electronic cigarettes. There is also allegations of a conflict of interest in the ongoing e-cigarette battle that is currently underway in a federal court because of financial ties between Pfizer and John Banzhaf's ASH.
Gollum:  He wants the precious. Always he is looking for it. And the precious is wanting to go back to him... But we mustn't let him have it.
On USA and State Government wanting to ban electronic cigarettes so that they can collect more tax money on traditional cigarettes. Big Pharma wants FDA to regulate e-cigarettes as a medical device and turn over to them because they're losing money on smoking cessation they sell that doesn't work.
Gollum: They're thieves! They're thieves! They're filthy little thieves! Where is it? Where is it? They stole it from us, our precious. Curse them! WE hates them! it's ours it is, and we wants it! We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. They stole it from us. Sneaky little hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy, false!
Electronic Smoker, Gollum: It came to me. My own, my love, my own, my... preccciouss... Gollum!
About John Banzhaf's dirty fight to take away our right to electronic cigarettes and to be healthy ...
Quote
Not just freedom... people's LIVES are at stake. When someone is out to kill me, I take that personally. I like being able to breathe without wheezing now. But if Mr. B gets his way, millions of smokers will be denied the opportunity to step away from COPD and other lung diseases. ~VocalEK
At the end we hope those who are against e-cigarettes will fall like this:
And then we win ...
The third verse of the Led Zeppelin song 'Ramble On' makes multiple references to
The Lord of the Rings and specificaly Gollum.
Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.
How years ago in days of old, when magic filled the air.
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah.
In The Silicon Valley Tarot
The World is renamed
The Network
A packet flies through a yellow network - every node attached to every other node - against an infinite sea of bits. Productivity, understanding, coordination of effort, unity. Without the network everything stops, and chaos reigns. Reversed: confusion, misunderstanding, loss of control.
The World for the technofoggers is....
THE INTERWEB
Yay! Final card for Major Arcana.
The Interweb makes it possible for us to get in touch with each other worldwide to pass on information and find out what's going on with electronic cigarette status ... some are already banned, some are restricted, some are trying to ban. We're reaching out to help those in countries where they're banned. We're able to send messages to politicans to educate them, keep tabs on FDA, Government, Big Tobacco, Big Pharma and bribed anti-smoking organizations like ASH. News, blogs, forums, etc. all help to keep us informed via the interweb. It's a huge help for e-cig activism, Right to Vape. More and more doctors and scientists are communicating through the interweb that e-cigs are much better than a traditional cigarette. There are many wonderful activists like Monte and Kristin who are excellent writers with an ability to make messages loud and clear.
