Wheel of Fortune for Technofoggers has been renamed ...

                         THE VENDORS

also known as suppliers. They're from all over the world ... UK, China, USA, Canada, etc. We the Vapers depend on the Vendors to supply our needs to keep off nasty analogues. They have helped thousands of smokers stop smoking, to improve health even saved lives. There are some serious vendors who are involved seeing that e-cig/e-liquid is tested to be safe, to work with FDA to get them approved. Njoy and Smoking Everywhere currently are involved in their fight with FDA in court after FDA blocked their supplies at U.S. customs from entering USA.

I have jumped to Card #15

The Devil

  Traditional "The Devil" (Le Diable)

The Lord of the Gates of Matter; The Child of the Forces of Time

The Devil is of man's own creation, and represents bondage to the material world.

Money matters.  Feeling the burden of the material side of life. Desire for physical and material things.  Feeling of frustration and oppression.  A tendency to collect and hoard money and material objects.  Lust.  Sexual obsession.  The querent's knowledge of his or her own needs, wants and desires.  Security versus creative or spiritual fulfillment.

Losing independence, addiction and enslavement, caught up in the material, overindulgement, choosing to stay in the dark, pleasures, lust, and desire.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you're Taoist or something other than Christian or just a free thinker you will like this. Makes perfect sense to me.  cool-smiley-007
Osho Zen Tarot ... there is no devil, but rather is called...
CONDITIONING
  Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. Individuality has the quality of the lion; the lion moves alone. The sheep are always in the crowd, hoping that being in the crowd will feel cozy. Being in the crowd one feels more protected, secure. If somebody attacks, there is every possibility in a crowd to save yourself. But alone? - only the lions move alone.
And every one of you is born a lion, but the society goes on conditioning you, programming your mind as a sheep. It gives you a personality, a cozy personality, nice, very convenient, very obedient. Society wants slaves, not people who are absolutely dedicated to freedom. Society wants slaves because all the vested interests want obedience.
This card recalls an old Zen story, about a lion who was brought up by sheep and who thought he was a sheep until an old lion captured him and took him to a pond, where he showed him his own reflection. Many of us are like this lion - the image we have of ourselves comes not from our own direct experience but from the opinions of others. A "personality" imposed from the outside replaces the individuality that could have grown from within. We become just another sheep in the herd, unable to move freely and unconscious of our own true identity.
It's time to take a look at your own reflection in the pond, and make a move to break out of whatever you have been conditioned by others to believe about yourself. Dance, run, jog, do gibberish - whatever is needed to wake up the sleeping lion within.
For Technofoggers ... The Devil is
Totally Wicked
 Of course, Jason of Totally Wicked is not like that traditional devil lol .. just his eliquid is devilish wonderful indeed.
He deserves to be acknowledged for his efforts to do what is right for e-cigarette community. His logo is appropriate for the Technofoggers in place of traditional "The Devil". He is truly with us.
Comments:
Let's not forget that Jason was the first International supplier to lab test his liquids and release the results , changing the formula where required , he was the first to get CHIP compliant packaging with all the necessary Tactile warnings and childproof carriers, He was the first to get UK Trading standards permission to sell his product. And he was not forced to do this , he done all this by choice.
While Jason was selling tested, childproofed and correctly labbeled and packaged eliquid the rest of the suppliers where sending out easy access 'mystery' bottles.
Jason has been a pioneer within the industry and I don't think he deserves to be brushed off for someone elses vid or the fact he wants to sell 54mg , which would still only require a 'toxic' label and not the 'very toxic' warning. Here in the UK he could sell up to 70mg (7%) nicotine content and not have to alter his warnings.
 -- ApOsTle51
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hasn't TW been on the forefront of advancing/advocating PVs cause? Meeting with press and regulators? In the UK at least. Regularly testing their liquid? One of the first with warnings/ingredients/child resistant packaging? -- M&Ms

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jason and TW have done a lot of good things and have normally been pretty upfront about stuff. --  Prof Beard
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Jason is just like as described in Osho Zen Tarot "Conditioning" used in place of traditional Devil ... Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. Individuality has the quality of the lion; the lion moves alone. The sheep are always in the crowd, hoping that being in the crowd will feel cozy. Being in the crowd one feels more protected, secure. If somebody attacks, there is every possibility in a crowd to save yourself. But alone? - only the lions move alone.  -- Bryn

  Thank you, Jason   star

We're at Card #13

DEATH

Death carries a banner in his hand which shows a five-petaled rose, the symbol of the life force. In the background, a river flows out to sea, showing us that life is ever constant yet ever changing. The two pillars of light and dark are in the distance, and a setting sun reminds us of immortality. This card, despite what is often portrayed on television and in movies, doesn't signify physical death. Instead, the Death card shows us that there is perpetual transformation, one aspect of which is the cycle of birth-life-death-rebirth. This is a card of change and regeneration.

Traditional "Death" for the Technofoggers is renamed:

Says it all, doesn't it? A ban would be death for e-cigarettes. Don't worry. Nothing is ever written in stone. Let's hope it won't come to this. Come on, people. Let's fight for our Right to Vape.

on edit: My bad! Since Technofogger Tarot is International the ban has already happened in several other countries. I was having one of blonde moments there. I was thinking of USA only. Sorry  angel-smiley-017

We'll jump back to Card #11 and Card #12 next ... Later

We're at Card #11

Justice

Amicable and favourable resolution of conflicts. Triumph over bigotry and prejudice.  Legal action.  Litigation. Contracts. Settlement. Clarity. Fairness. Arbitration. A straightforward choice. Judgement.

Justice sits between the twin pillars of positive and negative energy. She raises a sword to the heavens in a motion of victory, and she sits in defense of justice itself. The sword's double edges remind us that actions can build as well as destroy, and that to have truth, falsehood must be cut away. In her left hand, she holds the scales of justice, and is prepared to weigh and balance. She shows us that we do indeed have the ability -- and the responsibilty -- of knowing right from wrong.

Reversed - Injustice. Inequality and bias. Separations not yet ratified or legalised. Delay. Imbalance.  Confusion surrounding legal or tax affairs. Complicate negotiations.  Unfair or delayed judgement.

For Technofoggers Justice becomes

The Court

FDA vs Smoking Everywhere and Njoy in USA Court. Update - Arguments just completed. Went well. No ruling for a few weeks no doubt. Was not a good day for FDA but it is not over until the Judge issues his ruling.

Card #12

THE HANGED MAN

Letting go and surrendering to experience and emotional release. Accepting what is, and giving up control, reversing your view of the world and seeing things in a new light. Suspending action. Sacrifice.

The Hanged Man is a card of profound significance, although a lot of its meanings are hidden. This card is an indicator of wisdom as yet untapped or undiscovered, and even of prophetic power. The Hanged Man shows us a pause in our life, a moment of suspension in time. Material temptations are conquered on the way to spiritual transformation.

  When reversed, the Hanged Man shows us someone who is resistent to spiritual influences or refused to accept that sacrifices must be made in order to grow and evolve. There is a sense of self-absorption, and of being too wrapped up in material matters.

The Hanged Man for Technofoggers is renamed ...

ASH US

This card is The Hanged Man Reversed because of ASH - John Banzhaf's refusal to see the light. ASH stands for Action on Smoker and Health, US legal-action antismoking organization.

http://ash.org/4dangers.html

ASH Legal Complaint Hits E-Cigarettes: New Product Poses Dangers For Both Smokers and Nonsmokers. ASH to the Rescue to help protect nonsmokers, and also smokers who might use the product instead of quitting, ASH has filed a formal legal petition demanding that it be regulated by the FDA.

ASH comes across like a sweating, rigid, fundamentalist hellfire and brimstone preacher screaming at sheeples in a huge tent during Southern Baptist Revival. I should know, I grew up in the South getting dragged there, kicking.

John Banzhat at ASH is a lawyer who loves to make life miserable for smokers since 1967 when ASH was found.

Breaking News:  John Banzhaf at ASH caught with his pants down   It turns out that ASH is a major recipient of money from Big Pharma, which stands to lose huge amounts of profits if smokers start turning to electronic cigarettes rather than to existing pharmaceutical products in their attempts to quit smoking.

Specifically, ASH received $100,000 from Pfizer, according to the company's civic organization funding report for the 2nd quarter of 2009. Interestingly, that same report reveals that other recipients of major funding from Pfizer include three of the other major national anti-smoking organizations that are pushing for the removal of e-cigarettes from the market: the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, and American Heart Association.

The Sun for the Technofoggers is ...

THE DOCTORS

  The Doctors are our Sun!

Dr. Murray Laugesen of Health New Zealand Ltd's most recent Ruyan report

http://www.healthnz.co.nz/RuyanCartridgeReport30-Oct-08.pdf

Dr. David Barron - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRr8KubdhCA

Dr. Elizabeth Whelan - This is a wonderful, truthful, eloquent opinion piece in the Washington Times by Doctor Elizabeth Whelan about the FDA smokescreen on e-cigarettes. 6th August, 2009.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/aug/06/fda-smoke-screen-on-e-cigarettes/

Dr. Dean Edell  - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-news/31764-dr-dean-edell-stance-e-cigs-2.html#post499938

Dr. Siegel, who specializes in preventative medicine and public health, comments on the recent FDA report on the e-cigarette (July 2009)

"As these data show, the level of tobacco-specific nitrosamines present in electronic cigarettes is at the trace level. It is measurable in parts per trillion (nanograms per gram). It is comparable to the nitrosamine levels in nicotine replacement products which are approved by the FDA.

In contrast, the level of tobacco-specific nitrosamines present in tobacco products are 300 to 1400 times higher. On a weight-for-weight basis, Marlboro has 1400 times higher the level of tobacco-specific nitrosamines than an electronic cigarette cartridge."

Doctors in South Africa

An article at reason.com (August 10th 2009) details how a recent study in South Africa showed e-cigarettes to be a much more effective route to quitting tobacco.

"Doctors in Cape Town gave Dutch-made Twisp e-cigarettes to 349 patients. After two weeks 6 percent of the patients had stopped smoking, and the quit rate rose to nearly half (45 percent) after two months. By contrast, a 2002 study in the journal Addiction found that the six-week quit rate was about 16 percent for smokers chewing nicotine gum and about 19 percent for smokers using nicotine patches. After six months, those rates fell to about 8 percent and 9 percent, respectively."

More doctors advocating for e-cigarettes. August 14, 2009

http://markets.kiplinger.com/kiplinger/?GUID=9756060&Page=MediaViewer&ChannelID=6521

Concern about the safety of the nicotine found in e-cigarettes isn't in question, according to some physicians.

"So if we can figure that the nicotine in the e-cigarettes is basically a generic version of the same nicotine that is in prescription products," says Dr. Joel Nitzkin, Chair of the Tobacco Control Task Force for the American Association of Public Health Physicians. "We have every reason to believe that the hazard posed by e-cigarettes would be much lower than one percent, probably lower than one tenth of one percent of the hazard posed by regular cigarettes."

Dr. Bruce Campbell, a cancer specialist at the Medical College of Froedtert in Wisconsin, even encourages the use of e-cigarettes if it helps smokers stop smoking. "Any time we can get people to cut down on smoking," he says, "it's a good thing!"

With wild and growing support from the public, saddled with many medical and scientific professionals, the FDA and special interests may have a battle on their hands that they may not want to undertake.

Card #17

THE STAR

 The woman is pouring water into the pool of Universal Consciousness. The other pitcher pours the water onto dry land in five rivulets, representing the five senses. Her feet are balanced between dry land and the pool. The bent leg on the ground (Earth) supports her weight, while her other foot is resting on the water of the subconscious. Keep a balance while at the same time, staying grounded. She is naked, having nothing to hide. The ground is fruitful. The water represents the spiritual realm and the land is a symbol of the material world.

The Star is most welcome when grief and despair have overwhelmed us. In our darkest moments, we need to know that there is hope and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Courage, hope, and inspiration are in your life. Great love will be given and received. Wisdom, spiritual enlightenment, progress toward goals and knowing what these goals are.

 The Star brings you the gift of pleasure in nature, of reasoned intuition and of shining hope.

Traditional "The Star" for Technofoggers becomes

The Lighthouse

The Allicance of Electronic Smokers is The Lighthouse here. Their beam gives us hope.

The Allicance of Electronic Smokers

In a surprise move, the Alliance of Electronic Smokers file a brief in the Federal Court case of SE/NJoy vs FDA

The Alliance of Electronic Smokers recently filed in Federal Court a Amicus Brief in the lawsuit brought on by Smoking Everywhere and NJoy vs the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

The brief was filed on the behalf of consumers of the Electronic Cigarette. On the Electronic Cigarette Forum, a member going by the nickname of Lika, made the announcement:

The 3 part briefs can be downloaded at the addresses below

http://www.moonport.org/documents/AmicusBrief-AES-001.pdf

http://www.moonport.org/documents/AmicusBrief-AES-002.pdf

http://www.moonport.org/documents/AmicusBrief-AES-003.pdf

In a final statement, Lika concludes

“It is wonderful to be a part of such a great team who, and I will put it bluntly, all worked their tails off to get this done. I think I can say on behalf of all those who participated in this brief, we greatly appreciate those of you who are joining us now in support of this Brief.”

Traditional "The Star"

The woman is pouring water into the pool of Universal Consciousness. The other pitcher pours the water onto dry land in five rivulets, representing the five senses. The Star is most welcome when grief and despair have overwhelmed us. In our darkest moments, we need to know that there is hope and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Courage, hope, and inspiration are shown here. Wisdom, spiritual enlightenment, progress toward goals and knowing what these goals are.

JustJulie, Taz, Lika, TheIllustratedMan, Bonniegirl filing the brief decided to expose themselves with nothing to hide just like Traditional Star thus bringing us all Hope. wink

Card #14

Temperance

    Combination.  Co-operation.  Co-ordination.  Innovation through combination.  Diplomacy.  Successful Negotiations.  Maturity in dealing with certain matters.  A placid, balanced temperament and good outlook.  Meaning literally, temperance in the sense of harmony and balance.  Good management.  An ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

A shining representation of the archangel Michael appears on this card, connected to both the sun and the element of fire. From a silver cup, he pours the essence of life itself into the golden cup of the human consciousness, showing us how spirit and matter are influenced by one another. On his chest, he wears a square badge, showing us the reality of our physical manifestation, and within it is the triangle of spirit. One of his feet rests on the earth, and the other is in the water, a reminder that he is equally at home in the conscious or the subconscious world. The riverbank is lined with irises - Iris was a Greek goddess of the rainbow -- and at the end of the path lies the crown of success and achievement.

  When Temperance appears, it is a warning or invitation to be prepared for a confrontation with the deepest questions of who we are, who we think we are, and who we will become.

A woman mixing water into wine was a standard allegory of Temperance in European iconography. This statue is part of Peter of Verona's tomb.

In other traditions, Temperance is the remixing of life, accepting the dead into the underworld, into the blessed lands, and deciding what to send back into the fray. Every atom in our bodies has passed through thousands of forms, and will pass through thousands more. Temperance reminds us of our connection to the greater forces.

Member companies are involved in all sectors of the creation and promotion of electronic cigarettes. ECA’s mission is to provide the tools and information necessary for policy-makers, opinion leaders, media, and private sector companies worldwide to make informed decisions about the management and use of electronic cigarette technologies, particularly the most recent advances and applications. The ECA needs your help to ensure the survival of the e-cigarette as an alternative to a known killer. Below is a list of some things you can do to help the cause.

1) Write your Senators and other elected officials. Tell them about your experience with the electronic cigarette. Send it certified mail. Find out who is your Senator . Find out who is your Congressman. Write President Obama.

2) Contact your local Tobacco Free Kids, American Lung Association, American Cancer Society and other public health organizations to inform them about your experience with the electronic cigarette.

3) Share your story with others and encourage smokers you know to give the e-cigarette a try.
